FISHING & BOATING, CANOEING, KAYAKING

Fishing is the major attraction at Baffle Creek and you can catch anything from Mangrove Jack, Flathead, Whiting, Bream, Moses Perch, Grunter, Estuary Cod, Trevally, Barramundi to mouthwatering mud crabs and beautifully sweet river prawns. The sites are adjacent to the Rocky Point Road concrete boat ramp which offers easy access to the pristine estuary at all tides.

The estuary and its tributaries are also perfectly suited for other activities such as kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddle-boarding, sailing, water-skiing etc.

Rocky Point Retreat is only a few kilometers away from the ocean and lovely unspoiled beaches, perfect for a beach stroll or a fish off the bank. Deep water access to the ocean offers the opportunity of serious deep sea fishing.

OUTDOOR PLAY AREA

We have heaps of room in the paddock for children (and adults) to have a run-around, play a game of soccer or cricket, fly a kite or safely ride push bikes without worrying about traffic.

BUSHWALKING

Native bushland along the esplanade provides a shaded area for socializing, great little walks along the creek and plenty of bird-watching. The area offers an abundance of wildlife - you can see.kingfishers, brolgas, lorikeets, galahs, magpies among others as well as echidnas, kangooroos, goannas and all the different types of fish and crabs. Turtles are regular visitors to the creek and you might also spot dolphins and dugongs.

DOG-EXERCISE AREA

There is a walking track and plenty of room in the paddock to exercise your dog off-leash safely away from other campers.

CAMPFIRE COOKING

Firepits are available free of charge on each campstie. You can BYO. your own firewood (untreated wood only) plus we also sell bags of firewood at the office.

LIBRARY

The guest & community library is located placed at the entrance next to the dump point. It contains plenty of books, dvds & magazines.
